U-Clean is designated as the surface cleaning detergent for application of photocatalytic ARC-FLASH. 

U-Clean is a highly safe and effective detergent developed jointly by the Washing System Research and a pharmaceutical company 18 years ago to clean catheters and dialyzers. It is a new type of detergent that removes stains more effectively than conventional detergents. U-Clean generates oxygen when dissolved in water, and it cleans materials to be coated with the disinfecting photocatalyst.A detergent for medical use must fulfill various conditions related to environmental hygiene and wastewater treatment.It must be phosphorus-free, extremely non-toxic and have high sterilization, bleaching, microbe decomposition, deodorization and antibacterial effects. U-Clean satisfies all these conditions. The details are as follows:


  •  Excellent detergency achieved by high osmotic and emulsifying effects

  • Microbe decomposition that does not adversely affect wastewatertreatment and is highly advantageous in terms of industrial pollution

  • Excellent disinfection, bleaching, deodorization, antistatic and antibacterial effects

  • Scentless and non-irritating to hands

  • Does not damage materials of machinery or equipment

  •  Solubility: water-soluble

  •  Smell: none

  •  pH: 10.5 (1%)

  •  BOD: 60 ppm, 0.1% dissolution (JIS K010221)

  •  N-hexane: less than 0.01 mg/L (undetected)

  •  SS: less than 1 mg/L (JIS K0102141)

  •  Foaming force: 32 ml/L water (1% solution, 20oC)

  •  Surface tension: 37.4 dyne ? cm (1% solution, 20oC, DU Nony method)

  •  Detergency: equivalent to Freon 113 (test data of Gumma Prefectural Industrial Experimental Station)

  •  Effective oxygen content: 6%


Acute oral toxicity of U-Clean is as follows (LD50):

 U-Clean: 4,290 - 4,650 mg/kg (mouse) 4,560 mg/kg (rat)

 Salt (comparative example): 3,000 mg/kg (rat) according to JT (Japan Tobacco, Inc.)
